EEA 14th Annual Scientific Conference,
Galway 10th-13th November 2010
The IEG was delighted to host the European Elasmobranch Association 14th Annual Scientific Conference in Galway 10th-13th November 2010. The conference was a great success and was attended by over 84 delegates from 19 countries. Dr. Nicholas Dulvy, Co-chair of the IUCN Shark Specialist Group, delivered the keynote entitled ‘Threat and extinction risk in sharks, rays and chimaeras’. This was followed by 29 oral presentations and 19 posters on all aspects of elasmobranch biology. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time and made the conference a success. Also special thanks to Galway Atlantaquaria and the Marine Institute for providing the venues for the welcome reception and scientific talks.
